Blues legend B.B. King was rushed to a hospital near his Las Vegas home yesterday.
A source reveals the 89-year-old’s health emergency was the result of dehydration from his Type II diabetes, which he has been battling for over 20 years. King remains hospitalized and under supervision. Further details have not been made available though his daughter, Claudette, told the Times that he “is much better.”
In October 2014, B.B. King suffered from dehydration and exhaustion after a show in Chicago, B.B. and had to cancel the remaining 8 performances of his tour. According to Rolling Stone, King has spent more than 65 years on the road, playing more than 300 shows a year until slowly cutting back in the last decade, though he still plays more than 100 shows annually.
