A female Delta passenger says she woke up in the middle of a flight to find a pastor urinating on her.
Like most people on a flight, Alicia Beverly says she went to sleep in the backseat of a red-eye flight that was coming from Las Vegas to Detroit on Monday. Suddenly, Beverly says she was shockingly awakened by a warm sensation. “It felt warm, like on the side of me I felt something warm,” Beverly told WJBK.
She came to the realization that another passenger was relieving himself on her. “I jump up and I [saw] his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up,” Alicia said. “By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me!”
Other passengers went to give her assistance and an off-duty police officer restrained the man. Unfortunately, Beverly was forced to sit in her pee-drenched clothes for several hours until the plane landed. The assaulter was identified as a well-known pastor from North Carolina, who reportedly suffers from the side effects to sleep aid medication. The man has yet to be charged but police have taken him into custody, the New York Post writes.
Beverly says the incident has caused her to suffer from “high” anxiety. “It was a lot. My anxiety was really high literally. Since then I have only gotten four hours of sleep,” she told the news station. Delta has yet to put out a statement.
