Law enforcement in Pennsylvania is investigating the shocking and brazen murder of a teenager who was fatally shot while watching the sunset with his girlfriend.
According to the victim’s girlfriend, 18-year-old Jason Kutt was seated near the lake at Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA on Saturday. At approximately 5:15 p.m. he was shot in the back of the neck by an unknown assailant. He was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead Monday. Kutt’s girlfriend said that she heard the shot before seeing him fall back. She also provided a vital clue to law enforcement: a suspicious man standing behind a yellow gate at Old Ridge Road, about 550 feet away from where the couple was seated.
Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub spoke to reporters on Monday where he said that law enforcement was actively investigating.
“We want to get to the bottom of this. We don’t have any suspects, we don’t even know if a crime has been committed yet. But we need to understand how Jason Kutt died.” He continued, “This was a young man with his whole life ahead of him.”
Weintraub is pleading with the gunmen to turn himself in to give the Kutt’s family some closure.
“Jason Kutt and his family deserve it.”
