4 Adult Children Lived With Mother’s Corpse For Two Years Or More

This is just foul, literally. A woman’s body was found in a Nashville, Tennessee apartment and it’s believed she’s been dead for over two years.

The woman has been identified as Laronda Jolly, 56; she shared the apartment with her four adult children—who are all intellectually disabled.

According to WKRN News, Jolly was found after authorities served an eviction notice, it’s still vague how long she’s been dead. One of her kids told police it’s been since 2018.

But Jolly’s brother, Anthony Jolly said his niece told him she’s been dead since 2017. “I called my niece, and I asked her how long had my sister been deceased and when she said since early 2017, I was shocked,” Jolly told WKRN.

Anthony said the only thing left of his sister was her bones.

“My niece said, ‘Yes my momma’s body is upstairs in the bed.’ They went up, removed some clothing, and uncovered a foot. And that’s when they told everybody back out,” Jolly told the news.

Apparently the brother and sister duo weren’t close but Anthony says he would call from time to time to check-in, but every time he called the children said she they were asleep.

It’s still a mystery how she died, her body has been sent for an autopsy, but authorities did rule out signs of trauma or foul play.

As for the children, the Nashville Inner City Ministry has stepped up to help find them a place to live.
