Young Dro, real name Djuan Montreal Hart, has spent the weekend locked away in a Dekalb County jail cell.  The 36 year old “FDB” rapper was arrested for theft by conversion of leased or rented personal property on Saturday and as of this morning remains in custody. The incident reportedly took place in February, according to his booking records. Dro is currently being held without bond.
I know you’re asking, what is theft by conversion of leased or rented personal property? Georgia defines theft by conversion as lawfully obtaining another’s property, including but not limited to leased or rented personal property, under an obligation to apply or dispose of the property in a particular fashion, but then violating that obligation and knowingly converting the property to the person’s own use.
