Megan Thee Stallion Disses Tory Lanez In ‘Shots Fired’ Song Off Her Newly Released Album Good News

If you’ve listened to Megan Thee Stallions‘ newly released album “Good News,” then you probably already came across her song “Shots Fired,” which samples Notorious B.I.G.’s “Who Shot Ya?” Perhaps you thought Megan wouldn’t address the Tory Lanez shooting incident, but you thought wrong.

The rapper charges out of the gate guns blazing on the Buddha Bless-produced album opener “Shots Fired,” which cleverly samples one of the all-time get-back diss tracks, Notorious B.I.G.’s 1995 Tupac-baiting “Who Shot Ya?”

This year, Meg has dropped other songs, but none directly addressed the incident in which Lanez allegedly shot her in both feet after the two were leaving a Hollywood Pool Party together. Earlier this week, Lanez pleaded not guilty to a felony assault charge in the incident. The opening lyrics of the song made it clear that she had some things to air out.

In the song, she doesn’t mention Lanez’s name but weaves in details about the incident that she had discussed publicly.

The lyrics read: “Imagine n–as lyin’ ’bout shootin’ a real b–ch (Huh?)/ Just to save face for rapper n—as you chill with/ Imagine me givin’ a f–k it was your f–kin’ birthday (F–k you)/ You in your feelings, I just thought it was another Thursday.”

She then adds, “And if it weren’t for me, same week, you would have been indicted/ (Should’ve let them lock your ass up)/ You offered M’s not to talk, I guess that made my friend excited, hmm,” while seemingly calling out a friend in the incident over what she has said was an allegedly proffered bribe to stay quiet, as well as mocking the size of the weapon used in the shooting.

The lyrics continued, “Now y’all in cahoots, huh (Okay), you a puss in boots/ You shot a 5’10” b–ch with a .22/ Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets wasn’t pellets/ A p–sy n—a with a p–sy gun in his feelings/ Okay, he in the backseat and he keep callin’ me a b–ch (He a b–ch)/ We all know the s–t I could’ve came back with (Lil’-ass n—a)/ He talkin’ ’bout his followers, dollars, and goofy s–t.”

Lanez, who has been court-ordered by a judge to stay away from Megan, seemed to deny shooting her in the song “I Ain’t Do It” and appeared to address the incident on his song “Money Over Fallouts” on September’s Daystar album.
