Three more players on the New York Giants have tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Friday morning.
According to The NY Post, The team was informed of the positive test results on Thursday night, and players Matt Peart, Kaden Smith, and Dante Pettis were notified and directed to self-isolate. According to team officials, the contact tracing process is now underway. These results follow the announcement that kicker Graham Gano tested positive on Monday night.
Since the team is on a bye week, the Giants office is currently closed; players and coaches are expected to resume work on Monday with an adjusted schedule.
The team stated in a press release, “The Giants and all teams are currently operating under the league’s intensive protocol for the remainder of the season. As in all matters relating to positive test results and close contacts, we are working closely with the NFL’s Chief Medical Officer.”
