President Donald Trump’s legal team says that attorney Sidney Powell is not part of their legal team after Powell said that the elections were rigged.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity,” Rudy Giuliani and President Trump’s campaign senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis said in a joint statement.

After Giuliani and Ellis’ press conference, Powell released a statement announcing that she agreed with the statements.

“I agree with the statements today. I will represent #WeThePeople and seek the truth, Powell said. “I intend to expose all the fraud and let the chips fall where they may. We will not allow the foundations of this great Republic to be destroyed by abject fraud or our votes for President Trump and other Republicans to be stolen by foreign interest or anyone else.”

In a tweet from November 14, President Trump identified Powell as part of his legal team.

“I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!” President Trump tweeted.

In an interview with Newsmax, Powell accused Georgia’s governor Brian Kemp of being part of a voting-system contract award that hindered Trump’s re-election. She threatened a “biblical lawsuit” against the state. Powell was unable to produce any evidence that supports her claims.

“Georgia’s probably going to be the first state I’m going to blow up, and Mr. Kemp and the secretary of state need to go with it,” Powell said in an interview with Newsmax.

Powell was the attorney for former national security Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
