Heading into the new year, fans of wrestler and actor John Cena can expect to read more of the talented actor’s motivational quotes, but in the form of a book.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Cena will be releasing two new books, one for children and the other for all readers, of uplifting and motivational quotes.

Both,  Do Your Best Day to Do Your Best Every Day, a book for readers ages 8-12 (Random House Books for Young Readers), and the complementary version Be A Work in Progress, for all ages (Ballantine Books), will highlight illustrations as well as, “inspirational thoughts and messages that shed light on values such as honesty, self-reflection, and hard work.”

Illustrations in the actor’s children’s book were created by Susanna Harrison, while Valeria Petrone is credited for pictures for Be A Work in Progress.

The inspiration behind the quotes used in both books comes from Cena’s Twitter feed, in which the actor tweets words of affirmations to her followers nearly every day.

Examples of his encouraging messages include “Live grounded. Dream grand. Love gratefully, Never lose hope.’

In a statement to THR, Cena stated: “We all have a lot on our minds, especially now, given the current state of the world. Words of encouragement can help us stay motivated and focused on what’s really important, and I hope that both Do Your Best Every Day to Do Your Best Every Day and Be a Work in Progress will inspire kids and adults to be the best versions of themselves.”

Likewise, Ballantine Books described the complementary book version as a “pick-me-up readers will turn to again and again to reap the benefit of his values.”

Mallory Loehr, executive VP and publisher of Random House Books for Young Readers Group, also noted that “John Cena has a great talent for connecting with and encouraging kids and adults alike. These collections are a new way for him to encourage readers of all ages to celebrate their achievements and take time to become the best version of themselves—whatever that might be.”

Both books will be released on April 6, 2021, and available in audio by Penguin Random House Audio.
