The son of prominent hedge fund owner Ray Dalio passed away after he crashed his car into a Verizon store in Greenwich, Conn., on Thursday, authorities said.

According to The NY Post, the billionaire’s son Devon Dalio, 42, crashed his Audi into a Verizon store, and the car instantly burst into flames.

Greenwich Connecticut Police are actively investigating the accident but believe Dalio’s car jumped a parking strip and mounted a curb before hitting the doors and sending the car careening all the way into the store.

By the time police arrived on the scene, the store was engulfed in smoke. Greenwich police believe the Audi’s gas tank probably ruptured as the car entered the store. Employees of the store were able to get out without being harmed.
