Nearly 200,000 ceiling fans have been recalled after more than 40 people said blades were falling off the ceiling fans they purchased.

Home Depot sells a ceiling fan called the Hampton Bay 54-inch Mara Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fans. On Wednesday, the entire version of the fan was recalled, according to WSVN. The ceiling fan’s brand company King of Fans, a Fort Lauderdale-based company, said that it received 47 reports of the blades detaching.

Two of the reports claimed the fan hit consumers and four others claimed the blade caused property damage to consumers’ homes, the outlet reports. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sent out a notice to consumers, telling them to “immediately stop using the fans.”  using the item and reach out to the company to have it replaced.

Home Depot said it sold the fans between April and October in stores and online. A representative for Home Depot told PEOPLE in a statement, “We’re committed to the safety and quality of our products so we contacted the Consumer Product Safety Commission and voluntarily recalled the product and stopped sales when we discovered the issue.”

King of Fans said in a statement to buyers saying that the issue with the fans stemmed from an “isolated manufacturing defect” that is related to a screw that was not “adequately secured.”  They added that the defect did not affect all of the Mara 54-inch fans. “On behalf of King of Fans and Home Depot we apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you,” the company said in a statement to consumers. “We take pride in the quality of our products and the safety of our customers is our priority.”

Replacing the fans will not cost a fee.
