My how things change! It was two years ago Donald Trump was tweeting his support and approval for Georgia Secretary of State candidate and Republican Brad Raffensperger, saying he would be “fantastic” for the position and encouraged people to get out and vote for him.
But now Trump sees the Georgia official as an “enemy of the people.”
The only thing that could explain the downs spiral of the two’s relationship is Trump’s election loss and Raffensperger’s refusal to break the law on his Republican ally’s behalf. Georgia turned blue for the first time since Clinton’s 1992 election win. Trump lost the state of Georgia by roughly 12,000 votes.
Now he’s blaming Raffensperger for his loss and calling him out for now fixing the state’s election system—although it has been proven his loss was fair.
According to MSNBC, Trump’s frustrations towards the secretary of state has only intensified. And he’s since gone on a Twitter rant rampage.
“I love the Great State of Georgia, but the people who run it, from the Governor, [Brian Kemp], to the Secretary of State, are a complete disaster and don’t have a clue, or worse. Nobody can be this stupid. Just allow us to find the crime, and turn the state Republican,” he tweeted.
Trump continues to show just how desperate he is to overturn the election and had the audacity to tell people, “Just allow us to find the crime.” It would seem as if he and his team would have already found this “alleged” crime considering the number of lawsuits they’ve filed. But nope, they haven’t; many of these lawsuits have been thrown out due to baseless claims.
Still, Trump feels, “Nobody can be this stupid,” which likely means he wants us all to believe he lost the election because of voter fraud, which has repeatedly been disproven.
But the most desperate attempt, which is really bizarre and erratic, is the fact that he took a shot at Raffensperger’s brother in a late-night tweet.
“Now it turns out that Brad R’s brother works for China, and they definitely don’t want ‘Trump.’ So disgusting!” What makes it so bizarre and ridiculous is the fact Raffensperger doesn’t have a brother.
The Daily Beast may have determined where Trump got his information—without fact-checking—apparently, there is a random guy named Ron Raffensperger who works for the Huawei conglomerate. The two share the same last name but not the same bloodline.
His latest tweet proves further his lack of credibility. I mean, really, it shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to dig a little deeper before making such a ridiculous and untrue statement to the very vulnerable public.
It wasn’t enough Trump made up conversations, but now he’s making up people without realizing that even if Raffensperger had a brother who worked in China, it wouldn’t matter in this situation.
January 20 is close y’all.
