Apple’s Apple Watch will be introducing a new feature that allows users to participate in guided walks.
According to 9toMac, the iOS 14.4 beta update includes a new guided walking section within Apple Fitness+. A Twitter user named Khaos Tian pointed it out in a screenshot he took of the application. “Standalone Fitness+ support coming soon? (On iOS 14.4 beta, not actually working right now),” he wrote.
In the section for “Time To Walk” workouts, users will be able to download the latest walking workouts. iMore reports that “Time to Walk” workouts are downloaded when Apple Watch is connected to power and near your iPhone. Completed workouts are deleted automatically.”
There are no details if the new feature will be similar to the “Time To Stand” setting, but it seems very likely, reports say. “Time To Stand” sends a notification to the user, letting them know that it is time to stand for at least one minute for at least twelve hours every day, the outlet reports.
Previously users needed to use an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch to utilize Apple Fitness+, but now reports say the new feature will take users on walking workouts outside that follow along with their Apple Watch solely.
