A student recorded the woman during a middle school language arts class at Bok Academy in Lake Wales, FL. She falsely claimed that three Antifa members were paid to raid the Capitol on the January 6th attack during her rant. She claimed that they were solely responsible for the attack that resulted in five deaths.
Principal Dr. Damien Moses spoke with TMZ, who confirmed that the woman was fired from the school system soon after her comments.
“We met with her, and she has been dismissed not only from our school but also from the Lake Wales Charter School System.”
The FBI has denied that Antifa was involved in the violent riot.
The student who is recording can be heard telling the substitute that the Capitol’s rioters were wearing MAGA hats and brandishing Trump flags. However, the woman incorrectly fired back, “When they’re paid to be there and cause a riot, they wanna make it look like Trump supporters, so they wear Trump hats and carry Trump flags.”
The conversation becomes so uncomfortable that one student even asks to be excused from the class.
Moses says that their staff will continue to speak with the students to clear up the incident while reiterating that the school does not speak about politics.
“We have spoken with the students twice and plan on speaking with them again. We had a conversation about the situation and just relayed that we do not discuss politics on our campus.”
