TikTok has created an incubator program to support 100 Black creators, CNN Business reports.

TikTok has adopted a new strategy recently used by other social media platforms to highlight Black talent. On Wednesday, TikTok announced its incubator program called “TikTok for Black Creatives,” which was created to invest in and highlight up and coming Black creatives and Black musicians on the social media app.

The three-month program will feature community-building forums, educational events with TikTok execs, and town halls that include Black entrepreneurs and celebs as guests, CNN Business reports. A select few Black creators will be given grants they can use to pay for production equipment, educational resources, and other tools that can be used for content creation.

“Black creators on TikTok have been a driving force for our community,” the company wrote in a Wednesday blog post announcing the new promotion. “We’re committed to continuing to elevate and amplify their voices.” The outlet reports that Black influencers have become the app’s backbone, with Black creatives ranked as TikTok’s most popular and influential creators since the company launched.

Those interested have until January 27 to submit their applications. To submit, applicants must include a video up to one-minute long showing off their TikTok creator abilities. CNN reports that the finalists will be announced in February.
