Social media is buzzing with chatter that the charges against Tory Lanez for shooting Megan Thee Stallion have been dropped. However, the news is false.
According to a screenshot of the Los Angeles County Superior Court website, there doesn’t appear to be any upcoming trials in the case.
His case has been rescheduled until February 25th.
New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli disputed the claims, tweeting that a representative for Lanez has shot down the rumors of the charges being dropped. In fact, Coscarelli says that the rep confirmed that the next hearing date is in mid-February.
a rep for Tory Lanez says it is NOT TRUE that charges against him in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting were dropped: “The blog that posted this info is wrong. I assume the docket hasn’t been updated … The next hearing date is in mid-February.”

Tory Lanez charges aren’t dropped. Him nor his team has anything to do with the confusion of ppl thinking they were. Courts rescheduled cases that had a hearing date of 1/20 because of the inauguration and due to a clerical error it appeared like it was dropped or dismissed
