The winning ticket for the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot was sold in Lonaconing, Maryland at Coney Market.
According to Cumberland Times-News, Richard Ravencroft, the store owner, said a Maryland Lottery representative came to the store and confirmed that he sold the winning ticket. Ravencroft will receive $100,000 for selling the ticket.
The winner remains anonymous.
“It’s still too early for us to know anything about the winner, but as you may know, Maryland Lottery winners have the right to remain anonymous, so we aren’t sure how much we’ll be able to provide,” Seth Elkin, a spokesperson for the Maryland Lottery, said.
40, 53, 60, 68, 69, plus Powerball 22, and Power Play multiplier 3X was the winning combination.
Thirteen other tickets had the winning numbers but not the Powerball – winning at least $1 million. One of those tickets, sold in Hagerstown, Maryland won $2 million because of a “Power Play” option.
The winner can receive payments over the course of 29 years or a lump sum of $546.8 million.
