Mother Kills Five Children

In December, a West Virginia mother was incinerated next to her burned down house and five children. In a press conference on Thursday, the Greenbrier County Sheriff details the incident post an investigation.

Oreanna Myers, 25, was married to Brian Bumgarner. She was the biological mother of Kian Myers, 4; Aarikyle Nova Myers, 3; and Haiken Jirachi Myers, 1. She was step-mom to Shaun Dawson Bumgarner, 7, and Riley James Bumgarner, 6.

On Dec. 8, while Bumgarner stayed at his father’s —   the family had no car and his father was closer to his job — Oreanna did her usual routine and picked Shaun and Kian up from the bus stop.

But when she returned home, she shot all five of her children in the head, inside of the house. Oreanna then proceeded to go outside the house and set it on fire before shooting herself.

According to People, Oreanna was found outside the house’s remains with the murder weapon beside her.

The police were called about an hour later after a neighbor phoned in to report the house was on fire.

Sheriff Bruce Sloan shared with the press that signs of abuse toward the children were not present in the past. Also adding that “Child Protective Services had never been called to the family’s house.”

Around town, the siblings were known as “Team Shark,” an obituary read, People reported.

“I just wanted to say sorry and thank you for everyone reaching out to me and messaging me,” Bumgarner wrote on his Facebook. “I can’t get back to all of you but in a truly dark time, I feel like I could fall and all of you guys would catch me. I gives me something….. idk what. May it be hope or strength or grit I don’t know. All I know is I have something and that’s not nothing!!!!”
