The night’s charm frolicked on the cheeks of those standing in line.  I am totally unsure if love was in the air or if it was just excitement. The line extended pass BBVA Compass. It is to be expected when @wescoremore puts their name on the event.  The Canadian crooner Party Next Door had Warehouse Live going up on Valentine’s Day. I could not anticipate what was in store. By now I should be immune to concerts, but every concert is different.  The only consistency is that Scoremore will bring a great show to the city and it will be sold out.

A show can not kick off without @DJMrRogers being in the mix. He is the ingredient for greatness. Rocking the crowd out to sounds from all over the country, Mr. Rogers created a dope energy that would continue through out the night.  We might need to call him DJ Smooth Rogers because during his set and intermission, he made the ladies night by bestowing them with long stem red roses. There were a few bright-eyed hopefuls smiling their hearts out.  A good mix and that red light will do that to you.

As the stage cleared and silence fell upon the venue, one lone soul belted “Party Next Door, Party Next Door”. On the third cycle, fans joined in. Restless with anticipation, the crowd’s insatiable appetite was finally satisfied. Without warning or a musical prelude, @partyomo entered.  Excitement enveloped the venue. Shrills of joy pierced the air. (It was a few men that gave their ladies a well deserved side eye.) Smoke  laid an imaginary path that PND followed. It was as if no others were there.  Just he and his fans.  From the start of the show until the end, fans recited each song word for word. “Right Now” and “Persian Rug” melted the ladies. “Girl From Oakland” and “Over Here” were favorites as well.  Honestly, it is hard to give a definitive song chronicling where PND and attendees became one. Fans were hooked before PND ever opened his mouth. At some points it appeared PND was attending a concert given by his fans. The crowd swayed to “Thirsty”, lending their support to “Options” and “FWU”.  No one could have predicted the alluring visuals that captivated the audience nor could they have imagined that Party Next Door  would serenade a young lady on “Let’s Get Married”.  Wanting to be closer to his fans, PND went to ground level.  Pandemonium nearly erupted. “Sex On The Beach” and (of course) “Recognize” were my favorites. It was an incredible show.

I could not have thought of a better artist to witness for a Valentine’s Day concert. The ambiance was perfect. The show, fluid.  I often thought that an intimate show required an intimate setting. This show corrected my ideology. Large venue and all, PND made Warehouse Live personal. It was a great way to bring  Valentine’s Day to a close. If you have not witnessed PND Live, do so as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.
