Sources identified the Florida man who shot two FBI agents fatally and wounded three more in a deadly raid on Tuesday.
The New York Post identifies the suspect as David Lee Huber, 55, who was the subject of a child-porn search warrant being carried out by the agents. When he saw the agents on a video doorbell camera, he started shooting with an assault-style rifle.
Huber lived alone at the Water Terrace apartments and mostly kept to himself. According to reports, Huber barricaded himself in the apartment where he took his own life.
According to sources, FBI officials were investigating information they received about suspicious internet traffic coming from the residence. The search warrant related to a case involving violence against children. The FBI has not released any other details about the investigation or what led to the search warrant.
The bureau has not released the names of the agents who were wounded. Two were hospitalized for their injuries, and one has since been discharged. WFOR listed the deceased agents as Daniel Alfin and Lauren Schwartzenberger.
Huber has no prior history of sex-related crimes or of having served jail time in Florida. According to the Post, he only had a history of vehicle and traffic infractions.
