A Pennsylvania couple was shot and killed by a neighbor on Monday after a dispute over snow shoveling, authorities said. The victims have been identified as James and Lisa of Plains Township, near Scranton.
According to the New York Post, the argument began over the neighbors shoveling snow onto each other’s property. Video of the confrontation was later made public. Prosecutors said the neighbor, Jeffrey, went inside his home, came back with a gun and opened fire.
The Sun reported that between 15 and 20 shots were fired during the confrontation. Authorities said Jeffrey then shot himself inside his home and died.
Relatives have shared tributes online mourning the couple. A cousin wrote on Facebook that they did not deserve such a tragic death.
The investigation is ongoing.
