Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate love and what it means to be together. For most, Valentine’s Day might look a little different this year.

Last year, Valentine’s Day came and went while the eventual impact the coronavirus pandemic would have on the country was still on the very distant horizon. With numbers spiking around the country and social distancing still very much a thing, it’s safe to say that a lot of people will be spending Valentine’s Day at home this year.

Here are five ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day during COVID-19:

Send a Valentine.

If you can’t spend V-Day with your loved one in person this year, why not send them a Valentine in the mail? There is nothing like receiving an actual, physical piece of mail and the joy that comes from opening it to see what’s inside.

Make cards.

Crafting is an excellent way to make something meaningful. Who doesn’t love getting a homemade card? Here’s an opportunity to pull out your art supplies and get creative. Not crafty? You can always make a card online that can be sent via email.

Write a love letter.

This is the perfect opportunity to say how you feel about that special someone. You can reminisce about a romantic memory, talk about the things you love about your person, or tell them how much they’ve changed your life for the better. Once completed, take turns reading them out loud to one another.

Have dinner together.

Grab your favorite wine and use this as an opportunity to show off your new quarantine cooking skills to make your favorite meal and enjoy it together. Cooking together can be a great bonding experience. Not a great cook? Grab some takeout from your favorite restaurant to have at home.

A sexy bubble bath.

Light some candles to set the mood, pour some champagne, and run a romantic bubble bath to enjoy with your partner. Set your sexy time playlist to shuffle. For an even sexier bath, add some rose petals to the water. Turn it into a spa night by taking turns rubbing each other down with some scented oils.
