San Francisco police have found two missing children safe and sound early Sunday morning after their dad’s minivan was stolen while he was busy delivering meals for Doordash.
According to KIRO7, Doordash delivery man Jeffrey Fang’s two- ages 1 and 4 were missing for nearly four hours after his minivan was stolen around 8:45 p.m. last night.
Fang, who was driving a 2014 Honda Odyssey, said he parked his car-put his hazard lights on and quickly went to deliver an order. As he returned he saw a stranger driving off in his car- with his children Sean, 1, and Winnifred, 4, inside.
“I yelled at him and told him to get out and two of my kids are in the car,” a frantic Fang told KABC shortly after the theft. “One is a 4-year-old girl and another is a 1-year-old boy…They speak Mandarin only. I just want my kids back,” he said.
Thankfully the children were found around 1 a.m. Sunday morning after an amber alert was issued. They were taken for medical evaluation before being reunited with their worried parents.
The authorities are still investigating and have not released any information on the suspect.
