The 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its nominees, and of course, some of our favorites are on the list.
In May, inductees will be announced, and the ceremony will take place this fall in Cleveland, Ohio.
Among those up for induction this year are Jay-Z, Carole King, and Tina Turner. Other nominees include Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren and Dionne Warwick.
To be eligible, at least 25 years before the year of nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial album.
Once again, the public will have the ability to engage in the selection process for induction.
Fans will vote at the Hall of Fame site or the Cleveland museum every day through April 30. A “fans’ ballot” will consist of the top five artists chosen by the public, which will be counted along with the other ballots to determine the 2021 inductees.
