Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has confirmed that he is still interested in politics.
Back in 2017, The Rock appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he revealed that he was “seriously considering” running for president.
One of his most recent sitcoms “Young Rock,” which chronicles his younger years, further alludes to the possibility of him running. USA Today says that for each episode the show features The Rock in mock interviews during a 2032 run for office.
Even though he has many projects lined up for him in Hollywood, The Rock still imagines the day he would be in the Oval Office.
“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” he told the outlet. “Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people… So I would wait, and I would listen.”
He further explained: “I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”
