According to Forbes, six Capitol police officers have been suspended, and 29 others are under investigation for their actions in the Capitol riot last month.

“Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman has directed that any member of her department whose behavior is not in keeping with the Department’s Rules of Conduct will face appropriate discipline,” department spokesman John Stolnis told CNN.

Last month the USCP launched an investigation of 10 officers and suspended two—one officer who took a selfie with someone from the mob and another who wore a “Make America Great Again” hat seen directing people around the building, Rep. Tim Ryan said.

Pittman said the department “has been actively reviewing video and other open-source materials of some USCP officers and officials that appear to be in violation of Department regulations and policies.”

As the department continues going through a time of internal turmoil and the death of Officer Brian Sicknick, who died during the attack, the suspensions and investigations are ill-timed, CNN reported.

Seven other officers from five departments across the nation are under investigation as their presence in Washington at the time of the insurrection comes to light via social media and other means.

The number may grow as the riot is still being investigated. For now, an officer in New York, another in Philadelphia, two in Seattle, one in Texas, and another two in Virginia have been added to the list by their department for potential rule violations.
