Chris Christie Claims He Has No Sympathy For “Unlikeable” Ted Cruz After Fleeing To Cancun

Senator Ted Cruz once criticized Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for taking a relaxing beach day while his state was in lockdown, and it seems Christie is returning the favor.

According to the New York Post, Christie blasted “Fled Cruz” for taking an ill-timed vacation to Cancun, Mexico, as millions of his constituents were left struggling in freezing cold conditions back in Texas.

Christie said Cruz is “just not been a very likeable guy” during his appearance on Fox News Radio’s “Guy Benson Show.”

The two politicians seem to have a lot in common- both like to vacation while a crisis is happening. Both became a meme earlier this week when the internet jokesters doctored Christie’s infamous 2017 beachfront photo show the Texas senator joining the then governor.

When he was asked about the now-infamous meme comparison, Christie said, “the media loves to pile on Republicans, and that’s an element of it.”

Christie called out Senator Cruz saying, he “has taken every chance he can to take shots at people on both sides of the aisle over the course of his career.”

Now that Cruz is the one on the receiving end of the heat, Christie doesn’t feel sorry for him.

“And so when you do that, when you decide that’s what you want to do, and especially on personal matters, there’s not going to be a ton of people running to your defense.”
