Investigators said an Oklahoma man admitting to killing his neighbor and cutting her heart out, which he cooked “with potatoes to feed his family to release the demons.”
While requesting a search warrant, an agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation told a judge that Lawrence Paul Anderson, 42, killed his neighbor in her home on February 9. He is also accused of killing his uncle, Leon Pye, and 4-year-old Kaeos Pye and stabbing his aunt, Delsie Pye, at home the same night. The aunt survived the attack, The Oklahoman reports.
Anderson was arrested at the scene after officers found him in the living room vomiting into pillows.
A repeat felon, Anderson was released early from prison in January after Governor Kevin Stitt commuted his 20-year sentence. The sentence was reduced to nine years, of which he served a little more than three.
While being interrogated on February 11, Anderson told investigators about killing his neighbor, Andrea Lynn Blankenship, 41.
“He confessed to going to 227 West Minnesota Avenue, Chickasha,” the agent said in his request. “He used his shoulder to knock in the back door. There were two German Shepherd dogs in the house. Anderson advised he killed the female resident and cut her heart out.”
Anderson, who has a long rap sheet, told a judge during a guilty plea in 2017 that he took bipolar medication. He was hospitalized after his arrest but was released on February 15 and is still in custody at the Grady County jail.
