Tory Lanez took an “L” in court today when the judge presiding over his criminal case ruled that he cannot comment publicly about his ongoing legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion.

According to Page Six, the request Lanez filed in January asking the court to allow him to tell his side of what happened during the shooting incident last July was denied.

The 28-year-old Canadian singer pled not guilty to one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle in this ongoing criminal case.

His attorney, Shawn Holley, argued in the Los Angeles Superior Court of California that the protective order barring him from telling his side was “unfair” since it does not apply to Megan.

Megan has spoken out publicly since very early on in the case, contending that Tory shot her.

She most recently commented in January, slamming him after inaccurate reports that surfaced online claimed that the charges against him had been dropped.

“B*tch you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND B*TCH YOU GOING TO JAIL,” Megan tweeted in January.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, has maintained his innocence throughout the case, both on social media and through his music.
