Ryan Fischer, Lady Gaga‘s dog walker, is thanking his supporters for their well wishes after being shot during a brazen dognapping.
Fischer was shot on Wednesday, February 24th, while walking three of Lady Gaga’s beloved French bulldogs. Two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav, were dognapped. The pop star issued a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her animals. On February 26th, the dogs were safely returned.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Fischer refers to Asia, the only canine that was not taken, as an “angel” who laid next to him as he bled from the gunshot wound.
“My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own. I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them…and myself.”
In a second post, Fischer says that “the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support!”
According to TMZ, a woman stumbled upon the missing dogs tied up in an alley. She recognized them from the media coverage and dropped them off at a nearby police station. The unidentified good samaritan has not been identified, and sources say that Gaga will “gladly” hand over the reward to the woman.
The attackers are still at large.
