The Darren Sharper case has pulled another NFL name into the headlines, though not by any official accusation.
According to The Advocate, as relayed by Nola.com, Brandon Licciardi, a codefendant in the Sharper case and a former St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s deputy, told investigators from the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office last year that he saw Reggie Bush put ecstasy into Champagne glasses and hand the drug to women at a Las Vegas dance club in the spring of 2011. That was shortly before Bush was traded by the Saints to the Miami Dolphins. Bush now plays for the Detroit Lions.
The report notes, “Authorities have not accused Bush of drugging or raping anyone.” It also says an agent for Bush and a lawyer for Licciardi did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Keep in mind this is the claim of one man who is facing serious charges himself, and none of it has been proven. We will update this story if Bush responds.
