This year’s host for the 32nd annual GLAAD Media Awards will be actress and producer Niecy Nash.
The GLAAD Media Awards will broadcast live on YouTube on April 8th at 8 p.m. ET. For the first time, the ceremony will also be broadcasted live on Hulu the same day at 10 p.m. ET.
The 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards recognize media for portraying LGBTQ people and issues in a fair, factual, and inclusive manner. For this year’s awards, GLAAD named 198 nominations in 28 categories, including Deadline’s own New Hollywood Podcast.
“I am so thrilled to be hosting this year’s GLAAD Media Awards, honoring the LGBTQ stories and images that change the world by growing acceptance and understanding,” said Nash in regards to hosting this year’s ceremony. “My wife Jessica and I are still thriving in newlywed bliss, and I’m looking forward to bringing that love and joy to GLAAD’s biggest night. Be ready for a surprise or two!”
GLAAD is also collaborating with TikTok on a special award called “TikTok Queer Advocate of the Year,” which honors TikTok creators who have elevated LGBTQ visibility to new heights.
