The Wu-Tang Clan plans on releasing a limited edition photography book that includes hundreds of never-before-seen photos.
The Wu-Tang Clan will forever be a part of Hip Hop history, and to add to its legacy, the group is dropping “the rarest book in hip-hop history.” The book titled Wu-Tang Clan: Legacy is a humongous photography book that consists of more than 300 pages of unreleased photos showing the rap groups’ history of iconic moments.
Several of the images were shot by Danny Hastings, PROTIM PHOTO, Kyle Christie, Andy Cantillon, and some were taken by friends and family of Wu-Tang, according to Yahoo!
“We’re excited to share the Wu-Tang Clan’s history through rare and never-before-seen photos,” Wu-Tang Management CEO John “Mook” Gibbons said in a statement. “It’s been fun rediscovering moments from the past while creating this limited piece of art…From conception to the present day, this is the story of the undisputed greatest Hip Hop group of all time being unveiled through rare and never before seen photos.”
The book is a limited edition, and the group will only be releasing 36 copies. The copies were all hand-made in Italy and were made with the finest leather other materials, Yahoo! News reports. Each book will be signed, numbered, and issued a certificate of authenticity. The books will be enclosed in a vast 400-pound case designed by the sculptor Gethin Jones.
