A Grants, New Mexico man was arrested Wednesday for five murders after a multi-state manhunt, according to authorities.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said Sean Michael Lannon, 47, who was considered “armed and dangerous,” was taken into custody by U.S. Marshalls in St. Louis, Missouri. The New York Post reports that the father of three was wanted for questioning over the death of a longtime acquaintance in East Greenwich Township, New Jersey, on Monday.
Lannon is also considered a suspect in the deaths of his ex-wife, Jennifer Lannon, 39, Matthew Miller, 21, Jesten Mata, and Randal Apostalon, 60. A “foul odor” led security to the bodies’ discovery, which were found in a pickup truck at the Albuquerque International Sunport airport last week. Some of the bodies were dismembered.
Grants police Lt. David Chavez said another man, identified as Daniel “Perro” Lemos, is also wanted for questioning in connection to the murders.
Lannon has been charged so far with burglary and possession of a weapon for allegedly using a knife to strong-arm his way into a building in Monroeville, New Jersey, on Monday, the outlet reports. Charges against Lannon in connection to the murder of his acquaintance in East Greenwich Township are “forthcoming,” according to acting Gloucester County Prosecutor Christine Hoffman.
“The rapid and successful apprehension of Lannon is the direct result of excellent collaboration between a wide array of local, county, state, and federal partners,” Hoffman said in a statement.
