Sharon Osbourne is apologizing for her controversial discussion about racism on “The Talk.”

It looks like Osbourne, 68, is coming in to clean up the mess she made earlier this week after she lashed out at her fellow co-hosts for calling her out on her support of “friend” Piers Morgan. Piers recently stepped down from his position at “Good Morning Britain” after being criticized for constantly attacking Duchess Meghan Markle.

Afterward, Osbourne ended up tweeting, “Piers Morgan, I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth,” which ignited a lot of head-turning from people online. Osbourne’s words became a heated discussion on the show this past Wednesday. “I ain’t racist, what’s that got to do with me,” Osbourne uttered.

On Thursday, Osbourne took to social media once again to apologize. “After some reflection, after sitting with your comments and sitting with my heart I would like to address the discussion on The Talk this past Wednesday,” Osbourne began.

“I have always been embraced with so much love and support from the Black community and I have deep respect and love for the Black community. To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry,” she tweeted. “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over. There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast! I am not perfect, I am still learning like the rest of us and will continue to learn, listen and do better.”

She continued in the social media statement: “Please hear me when I say I do not condone racism, misogyny or bullying. I should have been more specific about that in my tweet. I will always support freedom of speech, but now I see how I unintentionally didn’t make that clear distinction.”

Lastly, she said, “I hope we can collectively continue to learn from each other and from ourselves so we can all continue to pave the way for much needed growth and change. The community on this platform means a lot to me. I hope we can all hold each other up with accountability, compassion and love during this powerful time of paving the way for so much needed change.”

Sheryl is a better woman then I’ll ever be when it comes to people jumping tough with me for no reason! It wasn’t necessary for Sharon to react like that which shows you what side she’s actually on! She made it plain who she’s got respect for! She and I could never go back to where we were! If I’m required to be cordial doing the show then so be it but after the show you go your way and I’ll go mine! It’s was ok for you to speak up for your friend but it wasn’t ok for me to speak up gor Megan? Girl bye!

Sheryl I applaud you. You held it down cause I would have gotten fire that day. Sharon showed her real feelings and should be fire. Am sorry is just not enough anymore.
