Timothy Hale-Cusanelli

The federal government is looking to keep army reservists and security contractors at New Jersey’s Naval Weapons Station Earle, Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, in jail for his role in the Capitol riots.

According to New York Post, Hale-Cusanelli is a “Nazi sympathizer” and has been known to dress up as Hitler. Investigators discovered Hale-Cusanelli’s pictures with the Hitler stache on his phone, and he was once reprimanded at work his wearing the mustache there.

Despite the workplace being free of political opinion, he “frequently made anti-Semitic and anti-minority jokes and comments to colleagues.” A colleague of his recalled that Hale-Cusanelli once said, “Hitler should have finished the job.”

His perspective on Jews is very-mich similar to how he feels about women and black people. They are at the “bottom of the totem pole,” another one of Hale-Cusanelli’s colleagues remembered him saying this.

Although “political leanings aren’t enough to keep him in custody,” the feds are appealing the government’s acknowledgment.

“Given that defendant’s desire for a civil war makes him a danger to the community, this Court can and must consider defendant’s ideology within the context of his dangerousness,” the federal police state.

Hale-Cusanelli is also being accused of trying to destroy evidence.

According to The Post, he deleted his Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts – “all of which he used to share photos and videos of the insurrection before he was arrested.” He also deleted Youtube videos and hid the suit/tie he wore during the raid.

On Friday, the court filing stated that he “told investigators from the NCIS that he planned to destroy other evidence, so he wasn’t arrested with it.”

Hale-Cusanelli faces a plethora of charges, yet none are violent.
