According to WXII12, Royalty Grisby‘s mother, Elizabeth, was making a food delivery on Harvest Dale Court in Stone Mountain, Georgia, around 2 a.m. when two men jumped into her 2010 Nissan Armada and took off.
On Thursday, the toddler was returned to her mother. “Today is a good day, and as you can see I am smiling. And I’m smiling because Royalty has been found and believed to be in good health,” said DeKalb Police Chief M. V. Ramos.
The return of Royalty happened after the police department received a tip from a homeowner on Stoneleigh Hill Road. A person walking by the person’s home told them a baby was crying on their porch. When the homeowner, Anna Henderson, realized the baby looked just like Royalty, she called the police.
“My initial reaction, I almost fainted. I could not believe it landed on my step,” said Henderson. “The first thing that went through my mind was the baby is safe. When I opened the door and saw the little feet and I looked and saw its face, it did not look harmed to me,” Henderson said.
As for the suspect, police arrested 14-year-old Malachi Richardson earlier that day, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
