NBA superstar LeBron James suffered a high ankle sprain and will be out indefinitely, the Los Angeles Lakers announced on Saturday.
James left during the first half of the Lakers’ 99-94 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Hawks forward Solomon Hill collided with James’ right ankle while going for a loose ball. James yelled out in pain following the collision. James remained on the court immediately following the incident, landing a three-point shot before exiting.
Shortly after his exit, the Lakers announced that he would be back. James received x-rays and an MRI on the ankle following the game, according to ESPN.
“Nothing angers and saddens me more than not being available to and for my teammates! I’m hurt inside and out right now,” James tweeted out. “The road back from recovery begins now. Back soon like I never left. #ThekidfromAKRON”

Solomon Hill also tweeted, addressing critics who may have thought his actions were intentional.

The Lakers are currently 28-14 for the season. Right now, they are in third place in the Western Conference standings.
