Sharon Osbourne plans to file a lawsuit against CBS after being forced to leave The Talk over her defense of her friend Piers Morgan.

The Daily Mail reported Sunday that Osbourne plans to take the network “all the way” for damages due to her exit. She will also be seeking compensation for the remaining two years of her contract, estimated to be almost $3 million.

The British talk show personality has been a host of the show since it debuted in 2010. Up until she left, she was the only original cast member on the show.

Osbourne received a ton of backlash over her defense of Morgan’s racially insensitive comments following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. The talk show host then exchanged heated words with co-host Sheryl Underwood on the show over Morgan’s behavior. The show was placed on hiatus following the argument.

Osbourne was then accused by former co-host Holly Robinson Peete of making racially insensitive comments. Robinson Peete claimed she called her “too ghetto” to be on the show. Osbourne denied the accusations.

Former co-hosts Julie Chen and Leah Remini also revealed publicly that Osbourne once referred to Chen as “a wonton” and Remini as “ghetto.” Osbourne denied making the comments in an interview with Daily Mail, calling it “crap.”
