Forbes has kicked off its “The State Of Black Entrepreneurship,” a project to define, create and rectify Black history.
The initiative will use historical research to unveil and tell the stories of the long-forgotten successes of Black companies. The project will also work to showcase the state of Black entrepreneurship.
Key components of the State of Black Entrepreneurship will include “CultureX: The Forgotten,” a series highlighting Black entrepreneurs and their success over the decades. Also included in the push is “A Barometer Check on Black Entrepreneurship,” which will be dedicated to the testimonies of Black business leaders. “For(bes) The Culture” will serve as the business leader networking push.
Editorial Lead for For(bes) The Culture, Brianne Garrett, gloated over the push.
“The contribution of Black Americans to business and entrepreneurship has often been forgotten from history, but so many of the products we use every day were dreamed up and brought to life by entrepreneurs of color.”
