McDonald’s is gearing up for a new celebrity meal — this time, with the popular K-Pop boy band, BTS.
The seven-member music sensation has come together with the biggest burger joint in business for a new global meal. On Monday, the Mickie D’s announced that the meal will be “BTS Meal” and will go on sale on May 26 in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil.
Eventually, the meals will be purchasable in nearly 50 countries and be available in six continents. The meal will touch down in the band’s hometown of South Korea on May 27.
What do buyers get in the meal? Ten-piece chicken nuggets, medium fries, and Coke along with it. McDonald’s will also be introducing two new dipping sauces – sweet chili and cajun flavors, on top of the new meal. McDonald’s South Korea recipes inspired the flavors.
This will be the latest deal the burger chain has had with music artists. They previously inked deals with Travis Scott and J Balvin.
BTS has already made history in its up and booming journey as an International pop group. The K-Pop band became the third group in 50 years to have three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 charts in less than 12 months. They now sit alongside The Beatles and The Monkees after having accomplished the feat.
