Kanye West is pulling through for the late rapper DMX and his family.
The Yeezy mogul has a seven-figure gift for the man’s family, which comes from the custom DMX T-shirt designed by Balenciaga and commissioned by Ye’s brand, a source told TMZ.
The shirts went on sale Saturday, the same day as the late rapper’s memorial. It ended up ranking in huge profits and rather quickly.
The designer brand Balenciaga has already promised to give the net profits to DMX’s family, and the fact that the shirt, which cost $200 apiece, produced a million dollars is staggering. The shirts sold out in 24 hours, the outlet reported.
Kanye and his team reportedly helped design the stage where DMX’s Sunday service choir performed and where guests spoke in honor of him. Sources also claim that Ye asked renowned visual artist Akeem smith to help design the layout, which was an elaborate set-piece of an inverted pyramid.
