A California woman is in shock after finding dozens of birds in her home. The woman, who wants to be identified as Kerri, says the birds got into her home through the chimney.
“It’s so hard to explain. If you don’t see it with your own eyes, you’d never believe it,” she said to a reporter with KTLA-TV.
The county animal control told Kerri to just open the door and allow the birds to leave on their own. Kerri said the birds didn’t want to leave.
“You couldn’t walk in any spot in the living room, the kitchen and the hallway without stepping on bird droppings,” Kerri said.
Montecito, California firefighters responded to a similar call about birds this past week. A homeowner said that almost 1,000 birds went down her chimney and got stuck behind the fireplace cover.
