I knew it wouldn’t be long before Phylicia Rashad came back to clean up the quotes that were posted about her. Yesterday, news spread that Phylicia Rashad was less than sympathetic for the alleged Cosby rape victim, saying “forget these women” when asked about them and blaming them for tarnishing Cosby’s legacy. Not long after the article began to trend, Phylicia talked to ABC’s “World News Tonight With David Muir” to clear things up.Â
“I am a woman. I would never do that,” she said on the show. She also says  the Showbiz 411 piece didn’t accurately reflect what she said — especially the “forget these women” part. “That was a misquote. That is not what I said,” Rashad said. “What I said is, ‘this is not about the women. This is about something else. This is about the obliteration of legacy.'”
She’s still defending him, though Cosby has yet to even defend himself, but at least she’s choosing better words this time.Â
