Sean “Diddy” Combs has gone by multiple names over the years, but now he’s making it one official. The Bad Boy exec revealed Monday that he has legally changed his middle name to “Love.”
Diddy posted a photo of his Florida driver’s license to Instagram, showing off his new name — Sean Love Combs.
“Look what I just got in the mail today… IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA,” he captioned the post.
The Ciroc founder has run through several aliases throughout the years. He burst onto the scene in 1997 as Puff Daddy, only to call himself Sean John the following year. A few years later, he went by P. Diddy but shortened it to just Diddy in 2005. In 2017, Combs announced he would like to be called “Brother Love,” but then revealed he was kidding about the name change.
