The Walt Disney Corporation Creates ‘Reimagine Tomorrow’ Checklist To Combat ‘Systemic Racism’; Includes ‘Privilege Checklist’ And Educates Workers About White Supremacy

The Walt Disney Corporation asked its workers to fill out a “privilege checklist” as a part of a new diversity and inclusion initiative to overcome “systemic racism.”

“Reimagine Tomorrow” is the anti-racism discussion guide that The Walt Disney Corporation planned on implementing to combat “systemic racism,” according to leaked documents obtained by City Journal. Yahoo! News reports that the documents were posted on Twitter by Christopher F. Rufo, explaining the documents were from a program created to educate and train employees about “white privilege,” “white fragility,” “white saviors,” and “microaggressions.”

A screenshot of one of the program documents states the police killings of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and “countless others” are “part of a long history of systemic racism and transphobia.”

“The current unrest represents a tipping point and heightened awareness of the movement,” one document appears to read. The program tells white workers to “take ownership” of educating themselves on racial equality without expecting Black workers to “educate them.” On top of that, the document encourages white employees to “reflect on the diversity of their professional and personal connections and instructs them not “question or debate Black colleagues’ lived experience.”

Another document poses the question, “How privileged are you?” and asks workers to fill out a checklist based on that title. It also includes a guide titled “75 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice,” which contains links to resources. This new program comes after the company has been called out for its years worth of offensive and racist content.
