Kevin Hart is blasting rapper and podcaster Joe Budden for his on-air rants against former co-hosts Rory and Mal.
During a recent episode of his “Straight From The Hart” series, the actor and comedian commended Budden for the progress of the “Joe Budden Podcast.” Hart explained that while he was a supporter “from afar,” he cannot support how Budden has handled his fall-out with his former co-hosts, particularly the firing of Rory on-air.
“To see you publically sh– on the guys that was with you, that’s an example of poor leadership. That’s an example of why you are where you are. This is why. Here’s the answer. Point blank,” criticized the 41-year-old. The “Night School” star went on to add, “You wanna be by yourself, you wanna be King. You can’t do that. You can’t do that. Wealth should be shared, not owned. Facts. So this is a shout-out to Rory and Mal. You guys were dope as f— at that job. Once again, I was a fan of that f—— podcast. It’s a sad day to see this sh– end when you guys were on your way to what seems to be higher levels of success.”
The “Joe Budden Podcast” drama may seem new to most, but avid listeners have pointed out that the chemistry between the men appeared to be unstable for months. Back in March, Rory and Mal were noticeably missing from the show. The “Pump It Up” retired MC explained that the three had differences and that their absence was essentially a cooling-off period. The three eventually reunited in April. However, differences remained and finally reached a boiling point, with Budden firing Rory on-air, which he was not present for. Though Mal was not fired, he decided to step away after feeling disrespected.
Mal and Rory sat down to tell their side of what occurred, attributing much of the feud to Budden being secretive regarding accounting records.
