LHH Star Mo Fayne’s Request To Be Released From Jail Denied After Prosecutors Say He Googled Countries He Could Escape To

Rapper Mo Fayne recently pleaded to a judge that he wanted to get out of jail purely to organize his day-to-day household affairs before he’s sentenced, but the judge denied his request.

Fayne pled guilty to six counts of federal bank fraud after prosecutors said he used a Paycheck Protection Program loan to finance a luxurious lifestyle during the pandemic. He’s accused of spending the money on debts such as child support.

The “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star appeared in court in Georgia on Monday, where prosecutors argued that Fayne should be held in custody until his federal bank fraud case is heard.

Prosecutors said that Fayne should not be released from prison because he had already Googled ways to get out of jail by searching for which countries he could visit without fear of extradition long before being arrested.

They also said that Fayne is a hardened con artist who has discussed defrauding others. He was dubbed a threat and a risk to the public.

The judge expressed the government’s concerns about Fayne’s online travel search, as well as claims that he boasted to a witness that he wouldn’t spend a day in prison.

Since December, Fayne has been in custody when he reportedly violated the terms of his bail by contacting a possible witness. He is set to be sentenced in September.
