A couple hides $1,000 inside baby products at Target stores to help new parents “make ends meet.”
There’s nothing like being a blessing to those who truly need it. And that’s what a California couple is doing to strangers who just so happen to come upon a gift of $1,000 the couple donates out of the kindness of their hearts. Krystal Duhaney and her husband Patrick have been leaving $1,000 worth of cash in baby products in Target stores in Southern California.
Krystal is the founder of Milky Mama, a company that provides breastfeeding support to parents globally. Last month, she posted on Instagram that she would be placing dollar bills into diaper boxes and under unopened formula lids at Target stores.
In her post, she wrote: “Being a parent can be tough!” she wrote in the post. “Before I founded @milkymamallc, we often struggled to make ends meet. So, Hubby and I went to various @target stores in Southern California and hid money in baby items.” She added, “We hope that the parents that purchase these items have a brighter day when they find our gifts.”
“We hope that the parents that purchase these items have a brighter day when they find our gifts,” the mother of two added.
Since posting, Krystal has received 87,000 likes and hundreds of comments on her post. Many thanked the couple for their generous act. “Wow! That is so awesome! Bless you and your family! This is beautiful. We need more people like you in this world,” wrote one user.
The couple said their mission was to make life a little easier for parents, as they can relate to the struggle. “When we had our first baby, we struggled to make ends meet,” Krystal wrote in the video. “Now that I own a successful business, I wanted to give back.”
