Saturday night, a man boating in Lake Lanier went underwater and never resurfaced. Rescue search crews are now searching for him.
According to WBSTV, the man was on an inflatable raft but got off to retrieve an oar before he went under.
Authorities were called out around 9:20 pm.
Fire units from Hall, Gwinnett, and Forsyth counties conducted the search, which was suspended at 11:20 p.m.
The search continued the next morning.
The man’s identity has not been released.
